In this picture, Audie Murphy is shown to be wearing all these medals he won in World War II. He won twelve medals. Five Medals he is wearing was awarded by the U.S. for Valor. He won the Congressional Medal of Honor, the Distinguished Service Cross, the Silver Star (two awards), the Legion of Meri, and the Bronze Star. The other seven medals Audie Murphy won were Purple Heart with two Oak Leaf Clusters (three purple hearts), Combat Infantry Badge, Distinguished Unit Citation. He won the Chevalier of the Legion of Honor, Two Croix Guerre with Palm, Fourragere, and the Honorary Membership Badge also.
